The BioPAT® Trace Membranes Dialysis for glucose/ lactate, with higher measuring range for the dialysis probe comes in a package of 5 pieces. The membranes are part of the BioPAT® Trace and Multi Trace system. In addition the membranes are ready-to-use, can easily be installed in the dialysis probe and replaced after every cultivation. The membrane can be used in Biostat STR®, Biostat B® and Biostat B-DCU® for higher glucose control (1-20 g/L). The membrane is absolutely required for the functionality.

The dialysis measuring method using the dialysis probe involves the transfer of analytes through a dialysis membrane in the dialysis probe which separates the reactor contents (medium) from the acceptor stream. At the same time, the dialysis membrane functions as a sterile barrier. n addition to the standard membrane, there are special membranes available:

  • Cellulase resistant membrane for cultures, in which cellulases are released during the process (primarily microbial cultures).
  • Gas diffusion membrane for samples with volatile components (e.g. methanol and ethanol).
    • Dialysis membrane: Cellulose acetate, approx. 12 kDa MWCO²

    Pressure range: 0.8 bar to 3.4 bar | 11.6 psi to 49.91 psi absolute pressure.
