Specifications

The Ambr® 250 High Throughput Vessels are engineered to support a wide range of bioprocess development applications, offering specialized designs for both mammalian and microbial cultures.

These vessels are available in single-use formats with working volumes ranging from 100 to 250 mL, making them ideal for small-scale bioprocess development, optimization and characterization.

Vessels are equipped with standard impeller configurations to ensure optimal mixing and aeration tailored to specific biological processes.

  • The mammalian vessel features dual pitch-blade impellers and baffles, ideal for cell culture. These are also offered with advanced features, including microsparger, pCO2 sensor, viamass sensor, dip tubes and liquid line filters.
  • The Microbial vessel utilizes dual Rushton type impellers with baffles for efficient fermentation. For these applications, a variant with external condensing bottles and a larger impeller is also available.
  • For Advanced Therapies or other sensitive applications, the low-shear vessel incorporates a single ‘elephant ear’ impeller without baffles, providing a more gentle mixing.

These are also offered with optional dip tubes, which can be connected to Perfusion Assemblies or Media Exchange Tubing kits. Perfusion assemblies include pressure sensors, pump chambers, with tubing calibrated for either Alternating Tangential Flow (ATF) or Tangential Flow Filtration (TFF) mode. Both ATF and TFF assemblies are available with either 0.2 μm or without perfusion filter.

Integrated sensors for dissolved oxygen (DO) and pH are included in each vessel, enabling real-time monitoring and precise control of critical bioprocess parameters. The vessels are supplied irradiated, individually wrapped and ready to use.

They are geometrically similar to larger bioreactors, facilitating straightforward scale-up from research to production processes.
