4Cell® XtraCHO Media System Bottle

4Cell^® XtraCHO is a chemically defined, protein-free, serum-free, and hydrolysate-free media.

4Cell^® XtraCHO Media System includes all the necessary media components from adapting the cells to fed-batch production at a cultivation volume of 3L. For larger volumes all individual system components are available in different formats, in liquid and powder.

The media system includes 4 different formulations:

Stock & Adaptation Media (SAM) allow the cultivation or media adaptation of cells.

Production Media (PM) are a non-selective production media for batch or fed-batch cultures. It is used for the effective cultivation of CHO DG44 cells and helps produce high yields of the active protein.

Feed Medium A (FMA) and Feed Medium B (FMB) are feed additives especially matched to the production medium. Combining those increases fed-batch productivity 3- to 5-fold compared to batch culture conditions.

4Cell^® XtraCHO Media are formulated to maximize the product titer of the Sartorius CHO-DG44 cell lines. It provides robust performance in production systems of small and large scale, e.g. flask, Ambr^® 15 | 250 and bioreactors.
