NexaGel® YIGSR High Concentration allows the manipulation of hydrogel stiffness for maximum flexibility in developing 3D cell culture systems for different cell types and tissues. YIGSR, derived from the laminin β1 chain, is suited for endothelial cells studies as it promotes cell adhesion, proliferation and migration. The xeno-free, polysaccharide-based hydrogel system enables researchers to adjust the final hydrogel strength between 10 and 4000 Pa, using the included NexaGel® Dilution Solution, creating fully optimised environments for cell growth.
NexaGel® High Concentration hydrogels are also suitable for spheroid formation, suspension cells, or cells requiring low cell-matrix interactions. They are transparent, meaning that they are compatible with multiple imaging systems, are permeable to allow nutrient exchange and chemical diffusion, and are pH neutral to maximise cell health. No toxic crosslinking agents are required, as the gel will form with a simple addition of cell culture medium. Harvesting cells for downstream analysis is very simple using the NexaGel® Organoid Recovery Solution, which rapidly breaks down the hydrogel, leaving a cell suspension that can be used for cytometry or molecular analysis methods. Also suitable for injection, NexaGel® provides a solution for the entire research pipeline from initial cell line tests to in vivo studies using the same platform system.
The potential for customisation is unparalleled with the NexaGel® system, as gels can be used blended or in combination to truly create the ideal cell culture environment for every individual study and purpose.
