Hillex II ® microcarriers feature modified polystyrene cores with a cationic amine surface modification that promotes rapid cell attachment. Their non-protein-coated surface makes them suitable for protein-free and chemically defined cell culture applications. With a narrow size distribution and a slightly denser core, Hillex II ® microcarriers promote faster sedimentation and efficient cell harvesting.

  • Advanced surface chemistry supports rapid cell attachment.
  • Compatible with defined, serum-free, and animal component-free (ACF) culture conditions.
  • Supports efficient cell–microcarrier separation.

The microcarrier beads are supplied in a bottle and should be autoclaved before use.
