Process-Ready Sartobind® Membrane Adsorbers
Sartobind® Lab membrane adsorbers for ion exchange chromatography are ready-to-use units in a syringe filter format. They are based on the patented macroporous Sartobind® membranes, with anion or cation exchange ligands covalently bound to the entire internal surface of the pores. This results in a chromatography matrix with superior flow rates and high binding capacity. Covalent linkage of ion exchange ligands to the membrane is very stable, allowing for many cycles of re-use without loss of binding capacity. In addition, these units utilize the same membrane adsorber platform as found in Sartobind® capsules and cassettes, making them ideal for research and development work, prior to convenient scale-up for manufacturing.
Ultimate Versatility
Sartobind® Lab units for ion exchange are available with strong or weak anion (Q and D) and strong cation (S) exchangers, and in three bed volumes, ranging from 0.41 to 2.8 mL, corresponding to dynamic binding capacities between 12 and 80 mg protein per unit. Equipped with standard Luer lock connectors, Sartobind® Lab units enable simple, equipment-free handling by syringe, or can be easily connected to FPLC systems for automated purifications. The units are compatible with most common chromatography buffers and can be re-used > 1,000 times, ensuring high-cost efficiency.
