Participants will learn how to create and deploy python scripts in SIMCA® and SIMCA® -online. This provides users with increased flexibility in their daily work, course participants will learn how to incorporate more automations and customized functionality to their work with SIMCA® . The course comprises lectures, software demonstrations, examples of use cases and scripts. We always strive to deliver outstanding training with a focus on the participants. The training is split into two sessions.

Course Objective
This course aims to show how to use the python functionalities in SIMCA® / SIMCA® -online to incorporate automation / custom functionality. Multivariate modelling is a powerful tool used in research, development, production, and quality control in various industries, including pharma and biotech, food and beverage, pulp and paper, and chemicals. The addition of the ability to enhance current workflows / pre-processing options and increase automation in your daily work using python with SIMCA® will be highlighted by showcasing various use cases.
Who Should Participate?
The course is best suited for current SIMCA® users, with some basic Python experience, interested in using Python scripting in SIMCA® . Some basic Python knowledge is recommended, alternatively the participants can go through one of the suggested online Python courses before attending this course. The course is intended for researchers, scientists, and engineers working with the collection and interpretation of data. Methods are general and applicable in most fields, where the aim is to gain maximum information from the data. No prior knowledge of statistics is assumed.
Prerequisites:
- Familiarity with SIMCA® .
- Python basics course (priori knowledge or one of the four suggested courses)
- SIMCA® version >= 17 (windows OS)
- Python IDE (Visual Studio Code / Spyder)

Language Information
Seminars are given in the language stated. In-depth discussion, course material, and printed material are in English; hence knowledge of English is required.
Course Material and Software
The electronic course material (course slides and exercises) and the SIMCA® course license will be emailed two weeks before the course starts. SIMCA® needs admin rights to be installed, so please get in touch with IT soonest. Sartorius cannot help you to install SIMCA®. We recommend you have two screens or one projector and one PC to follow the course and demos easily. However, this is not required.
