Product Information:
Sartofluor® GA Junior is a compact sterile venting and gas filtration format for small-scale and pilot-scale biopharmaceutical processes. As part of the Sartofluor® family, it uses a single-layer hydrophobic PTFE membrane designed for reliable sterile gas filtration in dry and moist gas streams. The format is well suited for applications requiring a small filtration area with easy integration into compatible filter housings or process setups.
Formats:
- Standard Format: Sartofluor® GA Junior is available with a 0.2 µm final membrane and an effective filtration area of 0.05 m² | 0.54 ft².
- Adapter Format: Plug-in adapter with double O-ring for secure installation.
- Packaging Format: Supplied in packs of five pieces for convenient use in laboratory, development, and pilot-scale environments.
Applications:
- Bioreactor Venting: Supports sterile air and gas exchange for inlet and outlet venting in small-scale systems.
- Storage Tank Venting: Helps maintain sterile conditions during filling, storage, and pressure equalization.
- Filling Equipment Venting: Suitable for sterile venting of process equipment used in aseptic workflows.
- Freeze Dryer Venting: Enables sterile gas filtration during freeze-drying process steps.
- Autoclave Venting: Designed for demanding venting conditions, including moist gas streams and repeated sterilization cycles.
Materials Used:
- Membrane: Single-layer hydrophobic PTFE membrane, 0.2 µm.
- Support Fleece, Core, and End Caps: Polypropylene.
- O-Rings: Available with compatible elastomer options, depending on configuration.
- Filter Construction: Developed for sterile air and gas filtration with traceable filter identification.
Advantages:
- Compact Filtration Area: 0.05 m² format supports small-scale and pilot-scale sterile venting applications.
- Hydrophobic PTFE Membrane: Provides moisture repellence for filtration of dry and moist gases.
- Sterile Gas Filtration: Designed for sterile air and gas applications in biopharmaceutical processes.
- Process Compatibility: Suitable for demanding venting tasks with high humidity and sterilization requirements.
- Integrity Tested: Each filter is 100% integrity tested prior to release.
- Traceability: Clear labeling with lot number and individual unit number supports documentation and quality workflows.
- Regulatory Support: Designed in line with relevant quality and compliance expectations for biopharmaceutical filtration.
- Practical Pack Size: Five-piece packaging supports efficient stock handling for development, testing, and routine use.
Sartofluor® GA Junior provides a compact Sartorius PTFE membrane filter option for sterile gas filtration where reliable venting performance, defined materials, and clear traceability are required.
