4Cell® SmartCHO Media are chemically defined non-animal origin growth media formulated to maximize the product titer in CHO cell lines. It provides robust performance in production systems of small and large scale, e.g. flask, Ambr® 15 | 250 and bioreactors.
4Cell® SmartCHO Production Medium (PM) is a non-selective production medium for batch or for fed batch culture. It can be used for effective cultivation of any CHO cell lines, and helps produce high yield of the active protein.

4Cell® SmartCHO Media & Feeds are an adavanced formulation which provides robust performances on any CHO cell lines and has improved filterability and solubility.
The 4Cell® SmartCHO Production Medium allows the cultivation or media adaptation of CHO cells. Lacking certain metabolites, the cultivation media exerts a strong selection pressure on cells and shortens the time consuming adaptation to fed batch culture.
- Needs to be supplemented with L-Glutamine prior to use following the instructions for use, usually at 4 – 6 mM final concentration.
- Contains Glucose
- Doesn't contain Hypoxanthine/Thymidine
- Available in bottles or in buckets with enough powder to prepare 10L, 25L or 250L of medium.
