NexaGel® HEK293 is an animal origin-free (xeno-free) hydrogel system specifically developed to support the three-dimensional (3D) culture of human embryonic kidney 293 (HEK293) cells. This ready-to-use hydrogel features an optimized formulation that fully supports the 3D growth of HEK293 cells. It is suitable for both standard 3D cell culture protocols and static suspension culture, facilitating rapid cell expansion. Cells can be directly thawed from liquid nitrogen or transferred from 2D culture vessels and immediately mixed with the hydrogel solution for static suspension cultures. The high-quality 3D spheroids produced enhance cell performance for protein expression and other downstream applications. HEK293 cells cultured in NexaGel® HEK293 can be easily scaled up for use in large-scale bioreactors or spin flasks. The NexaGel® Cell Recovery Solution makes cell harvesting after 3D culture straightforward and efficient.
