Process Filter Holder — For Sartoclear® Depth Filters and Sartobind® Membrane Adsorbers
Filter Holders are hydraulic clamping systems especially designed for the use of modular Sartoclear® Depth Filter cassettes and Sartobind® membrane chromatography cassettes. The holders are available in three standard formats for pilot scale and commercial manufacturing.

One platform for two technologies
Sartoclear® Depth Filters and Sartobind® membrane chromatography cassettes are two complementing technologies using the same holder and manifold plates. Use Sartoclear® Depth Filters for applications with moderate solids content. If you need large scale membrane chromatography for virus | VLP large protein capture use Sartobind® anion or cation exchangers cassettes. And to scale above 2000 L monoclonal antibody production for aggregate removal, Sartobind® Phenyl cassettes would be the right choice.
Easy handling
The filter holders are made for the use in a biopharmaceutical environment. The systems are designed for easy cleaning and ergonomic handling. The installation of varying numbers of filters is intuitive, fast and easy.
User friendly
The filter holders are equipped with easy accessible mounting bars for the quick and secure installation of commonly used accessories such as pressure sensors, pressure safety devices and bioburden reduction filters.

Sartobind® S membrane adsorber units combine the advantages of convective media and ion exchange chromatography for rapid and easy contaminant removal or capture of virus and virus like particles.
The cassette design eliminates the 5 L size limitation for membrane adsorbers and offers simple pod-like modular system up to 100 L membrane volume.
Sartobind STIC® PA (primary amine) anion exchange membrane overcomes reduced binding capacity for host cell protein removal and can be used in high-salt conditions.
