Sartocon® 2 Microfiltration Set

Sartocon® 2 plus - 1.4404 or 1.4435 - stainless steel holder is optimized for the use with up to ten Sartocon® or 2 Sartocube® production scale Crossflow cassettes (max. 7 m2). It is designed for applications from 30 l to 1000 l volume.

The Sartocon® 2 plus holding device is a crossflow filtration system for pharmaceutical and biotechnological applications. This system has been specially designed for the concentration, desalting, depyrogenation and fractionation of liquids.

Typical applications are the concentration and diafiltration of the following:

  • vaccines, IgG, albumin and antibodies

The set includes inline pressure gauges. This enables the user to run e.g. crossflow cell harvest processes even with controlled back pressure from the permeate side. The inline pressure gauges are oil damped to allow accurate pressure read out when in use with a peristaltic pump or another pulsating pump technology. The membrane of the inline pressure gauges is made of 316L stainless steel. The holding device is self-venting and self-draining. The permeate manifold is designed to minimize the required benchtop space.
