In 2026, we have upgraded our CLD technology with the launch of our novel genetically engineered CHO host cell line with up to 2-fold and 3-fold increase in titer and cell-specific productivity respectively across different protein molecule types. This host was rationally designed through proteomic profiling and CRISPR-mediated gene editing to deliver a more productive host while maintaining product quality and robust stability.

The purpose of the Technology License Research Package is to evaluate the expression of your target molecule(s) using our CHO cell line development technology in-house for both feasibility and | or manufacturability assessment.

Our Technology License Research Package includes:

  • Materials: 4Cell® SmartCHO media and feeds, host cell line, and plasmid vials.
  • Standard protocols and methods from DNA2Pool: gene synthesis, vector cloning, transfection, and pool generation and evaluation.
  • Add-on protocols and methods (upon request): material production in shake flasks and fed-batch processes in a 50 L rocking motion bioreactor.
  • Documentation TSE | BSE statement for plasmid).
  • Proof of concept study, including troubleshooting.
  • Technical support (remote and on-site upon request).

Please note that the establishment of our CHO cell line development technology at your site is highly flexible. Beyond basic cell culture devices like a flow box, incubator, and shaker, no specific equipment is mandatory for using our CHO cell line development technology. However, certain equipment, such as an electroporator, cell counter, and Octet®, is highly recommended for efficient and successful operation. Workflows and protocols can be adapted to your needs and possibilities.
