The BioPAT® Xgas system enables real-time monitoring of exhaust gas from bioprocesses. It is a dual oxygen–carbon dioxide sensor featuring automatic compensation of humidity and pressure. Oxygen concentrations can be measured in the range of 1–50%, and carbon dioxide concentrations in the range of 0–10%.
Key features:
- Single-sensor determination of O₂ and CO₂
- Integration into Biostat® systems and BioPAT® MFCS
- Monitoring of metabolic processes
- Tool for process and yield optimization
- Compact design for flexible use
- Automatic humidity and pressure compensation
For each connection method, Sartorius Stedim provides the necessary data cables and digital conversion boxes as part of dedicated integration packages, suitable for computer-based integration or for use with BioPAT® DCU.
The BioPAT® Xgas cables are components of the BioPAT® Xgas system and are used for power and data transmission between the Xgas analyzer and the respective control units:
- The Serial Modbus connection cable is used to connect multiple BioPAT® Xgas units in sequence.
- The RS485 cable (M12–SubD) serves as a signal and power transmission cable between the BioPAT® Xgas system and the control unit.
- The BioPAT® Xgas signal cable is designed for use with Biostat® B systems and establishes communication between the BioPAT® Xgas analyzer and the Biostat® B controller.
