BioPAT® Trace Calibration Solutions are specifically developed for use with BioPAT® Trace and BioPAT® Multi‑Trace systems, enabling precise in‑process monitoring of critical parameters such as glucose, lactate, methanol, and ethanol.

They are employed for two‑point calibration of the biosensor, with the appropriate calibration solutions selected based on the required measurement range and the specific needs of the process.

Calibration is carried out prior to measurement and then automatically repeated at predefined intervals during operation. As ready‑to‑use solutions, they are ideally suited for the monitoring and control of key process variables in compatible Sartorius systems.

BioPAT® Trace and BioPAT® Multi‑Trace systems rely on two calibration solutions and a transport buffer to operate and to accurately quantify parameter concentrations in the sampled vessel. The liquids are connected to the designated ports of the tube set and are automatically circulated within the system loop.

Each calibration solution is supplied with a defined expiration date to ensure consistent measurement accuracy and long‑term analytical reliability. Test certificates are available for every calibration solution on request. Multiple combinations of calibration standards are offered to optimally cover typical concentration ranges.

The appropriate concentration range depends on the specific process conditions and cultivation objectives. For optimal measuring accuracy, process concentrations should generally lie between the values of the two calibration standards. It is also recommended to include a standard with a very low concentration to reliably determine values close to zero.

For control applications, the concentrations of the calibration standards should be selected in reasonable proximity to the regulation (set) point.
