BioPAT® Viamass Signal Simulator Set (Multi-use)

The BioPAT® Signal Simulator Sets are designed for functionality validation of both single-use (SU) and multi-use (MU) probes.

The SU Signal Simulator Set contains two reusable simulators, providing a zero low-value and a high-value signal (0 pF/cm, 0 mS/cm and 100 pF/cm, 40 mS/cm) for use with Flexsafe® RM and Flexsafe® STR systems.

The MU Signal Simulator Set contains three reusable simulators, including a zero low-value simulator, a high-value simulator, and a clean-pulse simulator for testing the clean pulse function (0 pF/cm, 0 mS/cm and 100 pF/cm, 40 mS/cm and clean pulse). It is intended for multi-use applications in Biostat® Univessel, benchtop bioreactors such as Biostat® B and Biostat® B-DCU, as well as Sartorius stainless steel reactors.

The BioPAT® Viamass biomass measurement system enables the field-proven sensor technology used for decades in stainless steel fermenters to be utilized in single-use bioreactors. Based on impedance spectroscopy, this sensor technology measures the specific capacitance of the culture medium and the cells, providing an excellent correlation to viable biomass. Integrated into the bioreactor’s DCU and Biobrain® system, BioPAT® Viamass permits automatic monitoring and control of viable biomass.
