The Virotag® DY reagents use a combination of two fluorogenic dyes to stain viral genomes and envelope proteins. When both dyes fluoresce simultaneously within the Virus Counter® Plus instrument, the event is counted as one intact particle. This universal mechanism makes the Virotag® DY ENV dye compatible with all enveloped viruses. The reagent is designed for a simple, no-wash labeling protocol, allowing for rapid quantification of stained samples after a 30-minute incubation. Reagent kits include all necessary staining reagents and solutions to measure the specified number of samples.
