Sartobind® Rapid A is a protein A membrane chromatography solution designed to increase the efficiency of antibody purification processes. This platform is well-suited for process intensification, reducing process times due to higher operational flow rates, while maintaining high binding capacities and minimizing back pressure. Altogether, Sartobind® Rapid A has the potential to substantially reduce the cost associated with the mAb capture step, particularly in process development and production of material for early clinical phases.

Available formats:

  • 96 Well Plates
  • Capsules (1.2 mL, 10 mL, 75 mL and 200 mL)
  • Cassette (0.8 L)

Complementary products:

  • Rapid A Ligand
  • Manifold Pilot Holder

Features and Benefits:

  • Time Savings – faster cycling times with membranes mean less time is required for process development and validation. Moreover, column handling operations are no longer necessary.
  • Cost reduction – especially for manufacturing of clinical phase material or smaller commercial scale
  • Risk mitigation – because membranes are less sensitive to air presence or bed instability issues the risk of production stop is less significant
  • Compact footprint and flexibility- smaller bed volumes can purify the same amounts of target molecules in the same amount of time. Furthermore, there is no need for ancillary equipment related to packing and maintenance.
  • Scalability

Applications:

  • Monoclonal antibody (mAb) purification
  • Fc-region containing fusion proteins
  • Bi-specifics, multi-specific antibodies
