Vivaspin® was the first centrifugal ultrafilter to feature crossflow technology, replacing polarization and membrane fouling with a much faster solution for sample concentration and buffer exchange. More than 30 years on, Vivaspin® still offers the widest range of membrane chemistries and sample capacities to suit most molecules and feed volumes, and the highest possible concentration factors in a single filter.

The now ubiquitous vertical membrane orientation was first introduced in Vivaspin®, bringing crossflow technology to spin filters, to prevent fouling and reduce concentration times.

Built for Precious Samples

Hydrosart® regenerated cellulose membranes have been developed for high recovery in biopharma applications. These are assembled into ultrafilters with capacities from 0.4 to 15 mL and are also. Most Vivaspin® ultrafilters are also available with PES membranes for applications that call for a different membrane chemistry, and some are also available with CTA for special use cases.
