Sartobran® P 0.2 and 0.45 µm filters
Sartobran® P filters combine cellulose acetate membranes with low adsorption to support high product recovery across vaccine, blood and plasma, and biopharmaceutical processes.
Key Features
- Low-Adsorption Membrane: Cellulose acetate minimizes unspecific binding to help protect yield and support consistent recovery of valuable proteins and excipients.
- Gentle To Proteins: Flow characteristics and membrane properties help maintain the structure of large, shear‑sensitive proteins for reliable process performance.
- Two Retention Ratings: 0.2 µm for sterilizing-grade filtration and 0.45 µm for bioburden and particle reduction, enabling step-appropriate selection in upstream and final steps.
- Scalable Portfolio: Sartoscales, Capsules, Midicaps®, Maxicaps®, and cartridges provide a common platform that supports linear scale-up from process development to commercial production.
- Process Compatibility: Operates in the pH 4–8 range typical for many formulation buffers and process fluids, broadening applicability across unit operations.
Applications
- Coagulation Factors, Albumin, IgG
- Bacterial and Viral Vaccines
- Bioprocessed pharmaceuticals
- Intermediate and purified protein solutions
- Biological fluids
- Fluids containing preservatives
Benefits
- High Product Recovery: Very low unspecific adsorption helps reduce product loss, supporting high yields in vaccines, blood and plasma, and biopharmaceutical processes.
- Consistent Sterile Performance: The 0.2 µm grade is validated as sterilizing-grade and supports reliable bacterial retention in critical steps.
- Efficient Bioburden Reduction: The 0.45 µm grade reduces bioburden and particles upstream to help protect final sterilizing filters and downstream equipment.
- PFAS: Made without intentionally using PFAS compounds.
